Since March 1, 2019 THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION has been financing an Endowed Chair for Compressor Technology at the University of Applied Sciences Karlsruhe’s Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Environmental Engineering (IKKU).On the occasion of Dr.-Ing. Robin Langebach’s appointment, THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics will hold a celebratory colloquium on Friday, April 5, 2019 with speakers from universities and economics.
In cooperation with the Bürgerstiftung Sindelfingen, TSF supports a book project which was initiated by kids@kita Gesamtförderverein der Sindelfinger KiTas, a friend’s association of Sindelfingen nursery schools. In the course of two years, students—together with the writer Anja Wickertsheim—compiled the book trilogy Die verborgenen Schätze von Sindelfingen (The Hidden Treasures of Sindelfingen). The seven-year-old to nine-year-old children developed the golden thread to three intertwined but yet independent stories. Furthermore, the second and third graders designed the illustrations to the stories themselves.
Following its long-term engagement with the „Deutschland-Stipendium“ (German Scholarship), THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION again supports 25 students from the Hochschule Karlsruhe, the Universiät Stuttgart and the TU Dresden with scholarships. Many of the recipients followed an invitation to meet for a get-together in Sindelfingen. After a tour through the contemporary art museum SCHAUWERK, the scholarship holders learned about the foundation and BITZER as a company. The production site in Rottenburg and the Schaufler Academy, which opened in 2015, were also part of the visit.
