THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION continues the life’s work of its founder Peter Schaufler. It is intended to continue the merge of entrepreneurship with science, research and art.
The promotion of science, research and teaching is realised through a variety of cooperations with universities. Economic issues, such as the sustainable use of energy as well as environmental protection in conjunction with responsible entrepreneurship also play an increasingly important role.
A further purpose of the Foundation is the promotion of contemporary art. TSF maintains the extensive art collection of the collector couple Schaufler and, together with Christiane Schaufler-Münch, is constantly developing it further. The Foundation is the sponsor of the museum SCHAUWERK Sindelfingen, which was founded in 2010 and which makes the Schaufler Collection accessible to the public. With its broad range of activities, the museum occupies an important place in the art landscape.
At a local level, the Foundation supports various not-for-profit organisations in the Sindelfingen and Stuttgart area: associations, community foundations, kindergartens and schools. As a member of the Stiftungsnetzwerk Region Stuttgart e. V. (Stuttgart Foundation Network), TSF also cooperates with other established foundations to jointly advance educationional, cultural and scientific initiatives.
