BITZER - The foundation company

BITZER

The company BITZER was founded in 1934 by Martin Bitzer as Apparatebau für Kältetechnik and was taken over by master of engineering Ulrich Schaufler in 1961. From 1979, his son Peter Schaufler, as managing director, developed BITZER into a leading company in the industry. BITZER produces refrigerant compressors, condensing units and pressure vessels for refrigeration and air conditioning technology. The company has 65 locations around the world.
THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION currently holds 49 percent of the company shares of BITZER SE. The Foundation’s activities are financed by the company's dividend and are thus made possible by the work over 4,000 BITZER employees. To continue this success story in the combination of entrepreneurship, art, charity and social commitment is a central obligation for TSF as a co-partner of the BITZER Group. The preservation of the independence and strength of the company is at the centre of TSF’s activities and is enshrined in its statutes.
