At the start of the 2011 summer semester, the Federal Ministry for Education and Research launched the Deutschlandlandstipendium (Germany Scholarship) at German universities. The Deutschlandstipendium is a national scholarship programme that is based on the scholarship programme act (StipG). It supports current and first-year students who exhibit the potential to achieve excellence in their studies and careers. The monthly grant of 300 euros per scholarship is made up of 50 percent government money and 50 percent private donations.
Today, THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION is supporting 25 Germany Scholarships: ten each at the Technische Universität Dresden (TU Dresden) and Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, five at the University of Stuttgart. Students from all subjects are supported – technical as well as humanities and social sciences.
