Since the relocation of BITZER to the new company headquarters in July 2019, the building of the old head office in Sindelfingen has remained empty. The museum, however, needs additional space for storage and logistics of the extensive art collection of the constantly growing Schaufler Collection. Currently, a large part of the art collection is stored with an external logistics service provider and is thus not accessible to the curators. For the optimal preservation of the Schaufler Collection, the new art storage facility is now being built on the space that has become available in the direct vicinity of the museum. It is designed to meet the needs of the artworks and exhibition organisers.
