In 2023, SCHAUWERK Sindelfingen and Theodor-Heuss-Realschule Gärtringen launched an initiative to inspire young people to engage with art. Each school year, TSF supports the project with a grant of 5,000 euros. During the pilot phase in the 2023/2024 school year, the entire 6th grade participated in six sessions at the museum and one excursion. The students visited the current exhibition and then created their own artworks at school. The workshops were designed to be dialogical and interactive. With curiosity, the students discovered the unknown, reflected, engaged in lively discussions, and adopted new perspectives. The project concluded with an exhibition of the students’ works, curated by the students themselves, with an opening event at SCHAUWERK.The project continued in the 2024/2025 school year. For the first time, all grade levels from 5 to 10 participated. Around 400 students visited SCHAUWERK.The cooperation between the museum and the school connects education and art. It enriches learning, fosters the creativity of young people, and enables cultural participation.
