THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION mourns the sudden loss of Silke Lohmiller

THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION deeply mourns the sudden loss of Mrs. Silke Lohmiller, one of our members of the Board of Trustees. On May 10, 2026, Silke Lohmiller, together with her husband and son, tragically lost her life in an airplane crash in Namibia.

She had only been elected to the Foundation’s Board of Trustees in 2025. In the short time she served on the board, Silke Lohmiller enriched the Foundation’s work through her warm and open personality. Her memory will remain with us in profound respect and gratitude.
